  1. Peace J.R. I am the woman representing the Omo Valley tribes of Ethiopia from Odunde. I just wanted to express my gratitude, appreciation, and how honored I feel to have been recognized by you in this publication. I don’t even have the words to describe how amazing I feel. I can’t thank you enough. I had no idea that my tribute would have received such praise. I was so shocked to see myself in the paper! Thank you so much! This is truly a special moment for me.

  2. Christine! Thank you so much for stopping by my site. Your tribute was so beautiful and so striking that when I saw you in that bustling crowd, I knew I wanted a photo. I’m not sure if you remember but there were a lot of people around you, and you were kind enough to make eye contact with me, pause, and pose for a moment so that I could take this picture. It was my favorite from the whole festival. I’m so glad you like it. If you want, I can send you the photo. Your tribute was incredible! Thank you for posing for me!

    • The true kindness was your designation that I was picture-worthy. And of all things, that I was part of what was most memorable to you out of an entire year!!! A fraction of time immortalized through your lens!! It is an immeasurably inspiring way to bring in the new year. I am still in awe. I would love for you to send me the photo. What information do you need?
