MIA Fest

I got to stand in the pit (the area between the audience and the stage) for two days during Made in America Fest this summer. It was exhausting and incredible. The more work I do, the more I find those two things go hand in hand.

I got to see, up close, some amazing performers. My work with Philadelphia Weekly has put me closer to the action than I’ve ever been before. It is, without question, the best job I’ve ever had. There are long hours, weekends of work, late nights and quick deadlines. But I have never been so in love with what I do before. I get to see incredible things up close. I get to bring my artistic vision to the city where I live. I have never loved working hard quite so much.

  1. There is no better job, career, project, than one which is difficult and challenging, and yet, the only one which has any meaning. Brava to you!
