I decided to go to the library because I wanted to be there when it opened. I’ve been there right when it opened before, and there is always a line to get in. That line is in defiance of anyone who says that libraries aren’t needed.
The library opens, and I rest my feet there for a few moments. My feet were hot when I climbed the bridge, back in hour 19, now they are burning. They have been locked inside my boots for 22 hours. I don’t want to know what I’ve done to my feet.
I move on.
