Sometimes things suck. Sometimes things get hard. Sometimes challenges you couldn’t have seen coming spring, fully formed, into your life.

But I can hold my breath for two minutes. I can sit under a layer of chains underwater and not feel like I’m drowning. I can touch the bottom of my feet to the back of my head and run a mile and talk in front of people, and make a crowd laugh and sing well enough to make people gasp and lift a flatscreen TV over my head and write a book and take beautiful photos and I’ve done things that people said just COULD NOT, WOULD NOT be done and I can do this too.

Dammit, I can do this too.
