- An image from my 365 Days Self Portraiture Project. Photo by J.R. Blackwell
A lot of people do the See No Evil, Hear No Evil, Speak No Evil photograph – and I don’t blame them, it’s fun.
But I noticed that there is certain subtext in holding things open, and so I wanted to create an image of hearing, speaking, and saying evil – a joy in having things open, of being unsafe, and happy, a true – eyes mouth and ears all open to the world.
The only print of this image exists with novelist J.C. Hutchins.
